BUENOS AIRES DAY 1!!

Buenos Aires Día 1!

navigating the streets and buses by myself (successfully) to get to Sophie’s apartment, going to the Recoleta cemetary, tons and tons of street vendors, walking about 40 blocks, asking for directions 10 different times and getting 7 different answers, stumbling across this amazing food event with chefs from around the world, live music, tango class, having coffee, another tango class, finding where the carnies live, watching a milonga tango show, meeting Sophie’s friends, dinner, crazy cheap taxi ride

AWESOME (extremely long) FIRST DAY!

This amazing underground food event we found in Buenos Aires with chefs from all over the world! There had been one of these events in Toronto and also San Fransisco.

There was EVERYTHING! beef jerkey from South Africa, all natural yogurt and granola, homemade chocolates, a stand where everything was made out of polenta (even alfajores!!), blueberry jam infused with Malbec wine and another with chocolate and whisky, chorizo, lavander chimichurri, goat cheeses, artenesal beers

AND SO MUCH MORE!!

The only stand that didn't like us...

Sophie: Hay para probar?

Chef: No, that's hers.

Sophie: So there's nothing to try for free? Like a taster?

Chef: No, that's hers. She bought it.

Sophie: ...ok. Well what is it?

Chef: Liverwirst.

Us: uhhh, nevermind then.
